multiple plasmids in cells - (Mar/30/2008 )

Hi all,
quick microbiology question.
I have heard that if you want to have a number of plasmids in a cell, each one has to use a different origin of replication. True?

That's common wisdom, but I think if you have strong antibiotic selection, you can keep multiple plasmids with the same origin in the cell.
