restriction enzyme - can i cut the noncoding region? - (Mar/13/2008 )

i got plasmids and want to cut them into linear strands.

there's a restriction enzyme which cut the single-strand DNA orgin (packages the noncoding strand of EGFP), is it appriate for me to use it? i'm not good at DNA cloning and i'm uncertain if it would affect the fluorescence gene expression.

thanks!
