Fluorescent detection of western blots - (Feb/26/2008 )

Has anybody tried Alexa Fluor antibodies for western blot, your inputs will be appreciated.

I am pretty sure it works. You need the right imaging system.

DIGE system is based on fluorescence labelling of proteins in a 2D gel system. You have 2 or more samples labeled with fluorescence dyes which can be used to detect changes among samples.

Our lab has used AlexaFluor secondary antibodies (430 and 635) with the Storm860 imager.
