Collagen IV purification - (Feb/05/2008 )

Hello,

I am looking for a source of canine collagen IV and I think I will have to purify it. Can anyone point me towards a good protocol for purifying collagen IV from either liver or muscle samples?

Or if anyone has any canine collagen IV just lying around...

Hello! Sorry, I don't have any collagen IV, but can't you adapt the protocol for another type of collagen, using pepsin digestion, dialysis, salting-out...? I've already purified some collagen from an invertebrate and it worked quite well...
