LB agar - (Jan/31/2008 )

can you please tell if i can use LB agar prepared 1 year back? no antibiotics added..

If it's been totally sealed I don't see why not.

Well, the best way to know is trying. Grow a test culture of some bacteria and see if it works ok compared to not-so-old LB.
Sometimes we use culture media with several months and it's usually ok, as long as antibiotics and such have not been added.
Never done it with such an old medium though...

If there is no unwanted growth, go ahead and use it.
