Human dendritic cell line - (Jan/28/2008 )

Does any one know where can I purchase human dendritic cell lines from?

Yeah..They do not have any human dendritic cell lines.

I think many people make human dendritic cells from buffy coat.

There is actually a human dendritic cell line available from ATCC--its KG-1 cells. You have to differentiate them properly to make them DC like similar to what one would do with human monocytes to get immature DCs. For an actual protocol you can Pubmed either Kelvin P Lee Or TL Herrmann--both were helpful to me. Also, just a caveat-unlike typical cell lines KG-1 cells lose their dendritic cell property after about 60 days so its good to grow a huge stock initially to be able to draw upon later. Hope this helps.
