how to convert molar solutions - (Jan/24/2008 )

If I have a agent with a molecular weight of 157.21g, how do I make a 1M solution? 200uM, 600uM, 800uM and 1000uM of that agent in 1ml and 10 ml volumes? Thanks, anyone, please help me solve smile.gif

Read the textbook.

Since c1=n/V and c2=m/v and M=m/n, then c1=c2/M. Then the 1M solution would be 157.21 g of that compound in 1000 ml. You can easily calculate the rest.
