marker proteins for plasm membrane in c2c12 myoblasts - (Jan/23/2008 )

Hi folks
I am going to do the subcellular fractionation to seperate proteins in cell membrane, cytosol and nuclei of c2c12 myoblasts. I am wondering if there is any markers for membrane fraction, like histones as a marker for nuclear fraction
Thank you very much!

Functionally and by Northern blot it was shown that C2C12 cells express the BMP receptor IA (BMPR-IA) which is a single transmembranic serine/threonine-kinase receptor which form heterotetramers with a Type II TGF/BMP receptor.

There are antibodies which specifically recognise this receptor (e.g. abcam).
maybe this helps.
