Primers from RT-PCR database - RT-PCRdatabase primers giving primer dimers (Jan/14/2008 )

Hi
I have got primer sequences from Real time PCR data base. They are giving primer dimers. Do I have to design primers on my own instead of standardizing with primer concentration and annealing temperature? Please suggest me?

Are your primer dimers visible on your gel? If so, the concentration of primers may be too high in the reaction mixture. If this is the case, the preferential binding site for the primer will be the other primer, as opposed to your template, resulting in primer dimers.
