how to know the plasmid or phage inside the cell? - (Jan/10/2008 )

The alkaline lysis method was used to cheak it in my strain,I got one around 15kb band and smear near it.I doubt it ,maybe genomic DNA.What to do next confirm this doubt??

Is there some specific primer to scan the plasmid or phage?I have no idea about it.Just wonder there is plasmid inside or not?

Can use a digestion with Restriction enzymes or a PCR with very specific primers.

CAN U tell me some specific primer for any plasmid?

Many plasmids have universal primer sites like M13. Check your vector map to confirm it.
