Denaturation of antibodies in high salt - (Jan/08/2008 )

Hi, I accidentally (e.g. I'm an asshole) put 0.5M NaHCO3 to my antibodies instead of 0.1M while conjugating them with a fluorophore. Is there any chance the antibodies would survive?

most likely it will.

hi,
i m sure ur antibody will be fine, unless after u realized this u would have diluted salt concentration.
but i m skeptic aobut the conjugation process efficiency.

a good way would be to dyalize the antibody to slowel get back the appropriate concentration, but you may loose part of it.
i think as genehunter that the antibody should be well
