what's the function of glycerol in co-ip buffer - (Jan/03/2008 )

Hi guys,
would you tell me why glycerol (usually 10%) is used for co-ip buffer?

You mean the Co-IP Lysis buffer?
We do not include glycerol in this buffer. Here it is:
EDTA/Tris-HCL/NaCl/Triton X-100/PI

it increases osmolarity, and stabilzes protein structures to save activities
