Question about tricine gels - (Jan/02/2008 )

Hi, I would like to run a Tris-tricine gel to separate a small protein better than a Tris-HCl gel... but is it possible to run a tris-tricine natively? Would I use the same native sample buffer as I would for the Tris-HCl gel?

yes, you should be able to run tris-tricine natively (i've never done it so i can't say how well it will work).

the sample buffer should be okay but we just add some glycerol or sucrose and bromphenol blue to native samples.
