De-oiling an objective lense - (Dec/04/2007 )

Pages: Previous 1 2

I've worked with many different imaging systems, objectives, and lenses...

When the cleanliness is imperative, I use dry methanol. Fold your lens cleaning paper a few times, and then dip it into the methanol... Then simply clean with it. I ussually get great results with the methanol.

I've used 70% EtOH and 50% IsoPropanol; I didn't notice a difference.
