Western Blot conditions for high molecular weight proteins - (Dec/02/2007 )

Hi, ALL:

Can anyone who has experience in detection of high molecular weight proteins (>500kDa) share their protocols or transfering conditions with us?

you could add 0.5% sds to blotting buffer. in addition you could transblott O/N 200- 250mAmp

0.5% sds is too high, you shouldn't use more than 0.05% sds in a transfer. it will interfere with binding to the membrane.
