Complementary sequence alignment computer tools - (Oct/22/2007 )

Hello,

I remember someone once showing me a program on the web that allows you to compare two complementary sequences. I have the forward and reverse sequencing results from a sequencing reaction, and I want to see where they would match. The results it generated was a linear graph with breaks wherever the nucleotides did not match. I also remember that it was on the same page as a translation tool that gave a graphical representation of stop codons.

If anybody could help me with where this online tool is (or any version of), that would be fantastic.

If there are any other tools that help you align complementary sequences, that would be also great because I want to generate a decent looking graphic printout. Thanks.

Try BioEdit and Mega 3. It does the same.
