Questions about double staining - (Oct/08/2007 )
Dear All,
I am trying to do double staining with two secondary antibodies: Tex Red and 488. Do you think the two can be used together considering their wavelenght?
Thanks.

Do you know what are the peak wavelengths of excitation and emission of these two dyes? Do you know what colors you are supposed to see when using these dyes?

yes they can
go to "curv-o-matic" website and it will allow you to compare exitation and emission of the two fluorochromes - as long as there's no crossover (both exited the same, both emitting the same, emmision from one exites the other( fixed by alternating the lasers and pickup of camera)) then you're ok (my system still wont let me send attachments - i'll see if i can pm it to you)

no luck with pm - you'll have to do it yourself
