Product of ligation storage - (Sep/10/2007 )

Hi,

I'm wondering, how long we can keep a product of ligation at -20°C. it 's a stupid question but i have some products of ligation, and i don't know if i can reuse them (after 3 weeks at -20°C) to make transformation, or make a new ligation.

thanks in advance

you may use it for transformation as it's ligation product.

ok thanks

I'd add some EDTA to the ligation mix to remove magnesium before storing a ligation reaction very long. 1 ul of 500 mM EDTA would be good insurance. You might not want this if you plan on electroporation due to the higher conductance.
