Quantify DNA using other cuvette than quartz - (Aug/27/2007 )

Is there a difference in using plastic/glass cuvette other than quartz to quantify DNA?

to the best of my knowledge there are plastic cuvette (made from proprietary plastics) that can be used to quantify DNA. However, the FAQ on the company websites that do sell said cuvette, indicate that the cuvette has higher absorbance then quartz, thus are unable to meassure dilute samples.
