Plasmid extraction from filter paper - (Aug/08/2007 )

Hi all,

I just got plasmids from our collaborator in the form of dry filter paper. Can anyone show me how to extract them out so that I can transform them into cells. Hope someone can help me here....thanks.

I used to put a tiny part of the filterpaper in a cup, add 10-50µl (depending on the size of the paper) water or TE, shake it for 5 minutes and then transformated 2µl of this into competent E.coli.
