Histone substrates for in vitro kinase assay - I need to order Histone H1/H3 to do kinase assay. (Aug/08/2007 )

Hi folks,

I plan to do in vitro kinase assay with my purified protein kinase and Histone H1/H3 as substrate. I've already ordered H1 (sigma H4524) but I could not find H3 as kinase assay substrate in the sigma website. Is there anyone who has done kinase assays with H3? If so, please help me how to get H3. Give me the vendor and cat# also. The cheaper, ther happier my PI is. rolleyes.gif

Thanks.

histones are global, minor specific substrates of kinases; Sigma should also have histone III (not histone 3) or histone III-S
