RNA polymerase a sa fractionation control? - (Jul/31/2007 )

I've just read a paper where they have used RNA pol. as a fractionation control in an immunoblot, I was wondering if someone can explain the idea behind it? blink.gif

Yes, it is used as a cellular control when fractionating supernatants from whole cells from a bacterial culture:).
