Buffers for MONO S purification - (Jul/24/2007 )

Does anyone know which buffers are good for proteins to be in before doing a purification using a MONO S column? I now have have it in PBS (150 nM NacL) + 0.1% TX-100 but I wonder if it has too much salt in it?

it depends on the pI of the your protein of interest as to the buffer and pH that you should use for mono s but you are probably correct that 150 mM salt is too much for the equilibration or sample buffer.
