Imidazole and hydrophobic interation chromatography - (Jul/24/2007 )

Hi, I am working with a SOURCE 15PHE column.
I would like to know if imidazole could affect the binding of my protein to the column. when I inject the sample in the FPLC system.
Thanks.
P.D. Excuse my English.

imidazole will affect the ionic strength and pH of the buffer and, so, will affect binding onto the source (ion exchange) column.
