Need clean HAtag antibody for mouse tissue lysates - (Jul/17/2007 )

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend an HA epitope antibody that will cleanly detect HA fusion proteins in mice tissue?

I just got done hunting through every firefly luciferase antibody known to humankind (a cocktail of a sigma mouse monoclonal and a calbiochem mouse monoclonal was best). In case you are not aware of this fun fact, many antibodies are just great in cultured cell lysates but generate many, many non-specific bands in tissue lysates. Running a lane of mouse serum will generally pick up all kinds of delightful (not) bands.

If someone else has already done the timeconsuming search, I would be much obliged. Thanks very much in advance.

we use HA antibody from covance and it detects fusion proteins. it has been giving us clean results so far. Check the sequence of the tag and verify it with the antibody recognition, just in case.
