iodoacetamide prep - (Jun/26/2007 )

hi all. im looking to ireversibly reduce disulfide bonds with DTT and then iodoacetamide. i see iodo is supposed to be water soluble but when i try to make a 1M soln it falls out of the soln. heating redissolves it. should i be reconsitituting it in H20?

DMSO or DMF may be better for high conc. of IAM.
