Hi,

I need to make a borate buffer solution with Molarity of 1,125 M. Can anyone help me how to figure this out please?

thank you

I think this mean 1M and something. The "," in 1,125 is likely to be "." Some countries use "," and others use "."

As for calculation, I don't remember the molecular weight of borate, just assume it is B (check the container, they sure tell you the molecular weight).

Then 1M = Bg of borate in 1litre of H2O
1.125M = 1.125 x B g of borate in 1 litre of H20

If you don't want 1 litre, just divide or amplify the amount accordingly.
