express protein - which system should I choose? (Oct/06/2003 )

Hi, I want to express a protein fro Arabidopsis, which is 144AA, 16 KDa . which system should I use? E.coli or yeast? Please give me some suggestions.

in my view you shold use E.coli as it is well known system and along with this post translational modifications and some other thing will also hinder you.
so use BL 21 Plys S strain and once you optimize, u can jump to yeast.
