Photoshop your Western Blots - (Mar/29/2007 )

I've heard from a friend that there is a way to straighten the protein bands in western blots that are kinda "escaping" if you know what i mean but I forgot what he said, LOL! Does anyone know which tool in Adobe Photoshop this is?

Yes, it can be done. Select the band ('marqee, crop' tool, M), use move tool (V), click on the border of the selected band - more options should appear eg. size in pixels and %, angle and skewed square (rhombus) with two fields marked as H and V - that's what you're looking for. Enter a number in V eg. 15 and see what happens.

PM me if you need more help.
