Getting a RACE Kit - (Mar/24/2007 )

Hi all,

Iam trying to do the RT and RACE without kit, but right now facing problems of not getting results after a whole days work.Would like to tell my guide of using RACE kit. But dont know which is the best. Can anybody who has used them tell me which is the best and cost effective? If u could reply me soon that would make my day.

for 5' RACE, I prefer Ambion's RLM-RACE kit although others in our lab using invitrogens.
As to 3'RACE, you might do RT and RACE without kit, but be sure uising good enzymes and reagents, anyway, the longer size of RACE product, the less efficiency in 3' RACE...
