marker for THP1 activation? - (Feb/26/2007 )

i need some help with monocyte activation, so anyone - please help!!

i'm working with THP1 (monocyte like) cell culture. i want to activate the cells using LPS and be sure they actualy are activated!
does anybody know of a reliable and nicely expressed surface antigen that is a marker for (UNDIFFERENTIATED) monocyte activation?? i intend to check it using flow-cytometry...
im currently looking at CD69 and CD142, but dont know which is better...you can find all kinds of information out there...

THANKS LOADS!!

i think it would be better to look at something like CD80/86 and HLA-DR for activation. All should go up upon stimulation with LPS.
