Detection of low abundant proteins with IHC - (Jun/10/2003 )

I am having trouble detecting low copy proteins within cultured cells. Has anyone else had problems detecting low copy proteins within and on cultured cells using monoclonal antibodies? If so, what proteins have given you trouble and what have you done to resolve the problem. I am confident that my antibody dilution or type of section is not the problem.

In order to better respond to your dilemma, could you tell me what other evidence you have that the cells are even producing the protein?
