tumor angiogenesis - Tumor angiogenesis (Jan/29/2007 )

Hello,

Does anyone have any idea about the best way to identify and quantify mouse tumor angiogenesis. Also, I wish to know the double-immunohistochemistry protocol for localizing two different Abs onto tumor sections.

Thanks
CC

I think you want to detect mouse endothelial cells, so, you could stain for cd31, cd34, factor VIII, or Von Willebrand factor, these are more or less endothelial cell specific. In order to stain for two markers in the same section, the antibodies must be from diferent sources, p. ex, one must be mouse and the other rabbit thus the secondaries will be marked with diferent fluorocroms (p ex TEXAS red and the other with FITC).
