DNA preparation for Chromatin Immuno Precipitation - (Jan/29/2007 )

Hi,
I am trying to prepare some DNA+a DNA binding protein for Chromatin Immuno Precipitation, I want to get my DNA down to less than 1kb (right now its around 7kb) Has anyone got any suggestions to what I should do????

Check out the chromatin forum for protocol details but generally either sonication or enzymatic digestion are used to produce shorter DNA fragments.
