Short peptide stability - (Jan/22/2007 )

Hi Guys

I'm working with a short peptide called neurotensin. does anyone know about how long i can keep it in a buffer solution at - 20 degree.

Every peptide is different. I would NOT freeze/thaw. I have stored peptides in solution for many months with no problem. Concentrated solutions are best too.

You may make the peptide into powder...very stable at 4degree for many years.

Hope this help.

Better to have peptides in -80C for long term storage. Make small aliquots - like one time use.
