Substitutes for Permount - (Jan/19/2007 )

Hi, I would like to ask which other mounting media can be used instead of Permount when mounting dehydrated sections after staining? I have come across some journal articles that people also use DPX, Eukitt or Entellan. Are these choises possible? If so, what other issues I have to notice? Thank you very much.

Why don't you like Permount? Just curious!

It is because the shipping cost from USA to HK is very expensive (for hazardous goods). It is about the sum costs of bottles of Permount itself.

[I see. I have only used Permount for permanent mountings, but I have used aqueous mounting medium that works quite well if you don't have to keep your slides forever.
