Is PH8 good for flag tag immunoprecipitation? - (Dec/12/2006 )

I will use a elute whose PH is 8 to bind to anti-flag M2 affinity gel to do IP? The technical bulletin use PH 7.4 for the IP? Is PH 8 OK?

I think so, it more depends on the protein you want to IP than flag antibody. Flag M2 antibody is vory good for IP.

i use Hepes KOH at pH 7.9 with very good yields
