epithelioid cell surface antigen or specific marker - (Dec/12/2006 )

Hi, everybody
Is there any surface antigen or specific marker in epithelioid cell which would be differentiate it from the mononuclear macrophage???
Thanks a lot.

CD14, CD45 or CD68 negative (whereas the monocyte/macrophage will express these markers).
As far as epithelial markers I'm not sure but I think people have used cytokeratin-8/18, calrecticulin or vimentin (maybe check these out before using them).

Thank you very much, Ceri.
You suggestions are of great value to my experiment.

To be insatiable, would you kindly enough to tell me which paper or book had ever described this phenomenon (CD14, CD45 or CD68 negative (whereas the monocyte/macrophage will express these markers).)

Thanks again.

with best regards
