Uncut genomic DNA - Migrate through the gel (Nov/26/2006 )

During agarose gel electrophoresis my uncut genomic DNA has migrate approx. third of the way down the gel. Why is this? It is meant to stay close to the well.

i am not sure i understood what you mean. it will appear as many bands, usually higher than the cut one.

where is your uncut DNA in relation to the DNA ladder?

may you post a picture of your gel? or be more precise in your exp description ?
