what does 10%T and 2.6%C mean?

For example the gel you have been provided with is 10%T, 2.6%C

erm ... I think it is

%T= total acrylamid percentage

%C= percentage of cross-linking acrylamid (bisacrylamid)

but please check that

Kersten is right; if you prefer pre-mixed ready-to-use solutions you may not find exotic T/C ratios; pre-mixes are normally T30 or T40% with various C%; if you use crystal acrylamide use at least 2 or better 4-fold crystallized aa
