mutagenesis in Enterococcus spp - (Nov/11/2006 )

does anybody have ever used some protocol for mutganesis in enterococci?

They're non-sporing gram positives, right? I'd assume most mutagenic schemes (chemical, UV, etc) would work on them. Have you run into specific problems?

actually I´m not very much into this area.
what I do wanted was to mutate a specific area of the microorganism, with the aim to verify
the viability of it
