RE cutting mechanism - Is there P at the 5' end? (Nov/09/2006 )

Today I'm full with questions. Here is the next one. It is a little bit of a stupid, but...I was wondering how do RE cut DNA, do they leave P (phosphate) at the 5' end???

Yes, cut DNA leaves a 5' phosphate.
