can Primers for RT-PCR be used Real-Time PCR directly? - (Oct/30/2006 )

if not, what's the difference?

Thanks!

The can be used if they recognize the sequences in the genomic DNA. Many times RT-PCR primers are designed to span exon/intron junctions to make them specific for mRNA. In this case they will NOT work for regular qPCR. You need to check this in your sequence.
