Expression in other mammalian cells with human H1 promoter - (Oct/29/2006 )

we are interested in pKD shRNA plasmid with human H1 RNA polymerase III promoter; we use human cancer cell lines but also have cells from non-human species (mouse, rat, dog); are these plasmids with H1 promoter usable in non-human cells? will they express shRNA?

well H1 promoters are not that different in human and mouse, and the pol III termination is done by " TTTT" as well in humans as in mice.
So i assume yes you'll gonna have expression.
