Genomic DNA isolation? - (Oct/19/2006 )

Hi,

I was curious about peoples opinions of using either Qiagens QIamp Tissue kit or Qiagens Dneasy kit for genomic DNA isolation. Are they comparable? The DNA would be used in bisulfite modification and subsequent methylation analysis.

They are basically the same kit, except the tissue kit includes a buffer to lyse tissues (ATL). You can interchange colemns between the kits.
