hi all,
What is the minimum number of cells needed to do a ChIP assay? Is 10 million a lot of cells for an assay?

you can generally get away with 1 million so you should have plenty

however you must remember to keep cell numbers constant for subsequent experiments to make them comparable.

Does it mean that 1 million cells is plenty for the assay.So i am good with a single 100mm petri dish for a single chip. i had done a chip with 8 milliion cells and the DNA concentration I obtained was 6 micrograms /ml. that is very low concentration,right? that was why i wanted to know if the number of cells has to be increased
