Which bleed gives best result for antibody production? - (Oct/04/2006 )

Hello,
I just received new polyclonal antibodies produced in rabbit. The samples or "bleeds" are collected in three different time points after immunization.
So now I will characterize the antibody, but before I start I would like to know if there is usually a certain timepoint which gives the best serum, so that I could start form it.

It is different for every antigen, and technically every rabbit since they all have different responses. I would stay away from the first one since this one usually contains more IgM than IgG. How long after immunization are the second and third bleeds?

Ok, so you can never know it for sure. I do not know the time from the immunization, but I will try second and third bleeds.
