how to remove the foam of BSA solution - (Sep/14/2006 )

Hi,

I am making a BSA solution by dH2O. After dissolving and vortexing it in dH2O, I got many foams. I try to centrifuge it and to stay freezer overnight. There is still foams. Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot.

Take a beaker of dH20 and add the BSA (I use fraction V powder from Sigma) to the top of the water and let sit overnight at 4C. It will go into solution even after a few hours (depending on volume could be shorter) at RT.

take a 1ml pipette, and suck out the bubbles.
