FISH section lost from sllide - (Sep/06/2006 )

Hi
I am doing FISH on sponge (animal) sections.I fix the sample then in embed in freezing medium, section and place on slides. But when I do the processing washing dehydration etc. some of the sections are falling off the slides. Does anyone use any type of 'adhesive' to stick the section to the slide??

I assume you use coated slides and extra crosslink incubation of the slide O/N 80°C will help,

What slides do u use for ur sections ?

We use Superfrost slides which help tissues adhere to the slides. Normals slides will lose tissues when attempting immunohistochemistry.

Coated with what ? the slides have wells but dont think they are coated

some people coat slides with collagen.
