Western blotting - How to interprete (Aug/28/2006 )

Hello! I`m new in this field. I`ve done an experiment but I do not know how to explain the result.
My sample is Scallop blood cell spt and Moraxella spt, I have to test using goat serum STX-KLH and rabbit serum for both samples. The band for Scallop blood cell spt only appeared using the goat serum STX-KLH but no band using rabbit serum. The band for Moraxella spt was appeared for both serums. So, does anyone can help me to explain the situation? Thank you...

Without knowing anything about the samples you are testing, the results indicate that the antibody for Scallop blood cell spt was only present in the goat serum, however, the antibody for Moraxella spt was present in both goat and rabbit sera?

Does that help at all?

tq for the respond. does it means that the protein is from the scallop itself and not from the bacteria Moraxella? I`m not sure what do you mean by without knowing anything about the sample? do you mind to explain to me?
the sample that I used was bact. Moraxella spt and Scallop blood cell spt.
tq again for your help.
